Farewell dinner and opportunities at work.

This week we had the chance to go over to the Hulmes house for a farewell meal of sorts, for Bevin and Dior (Bevior). I was really surprised that Ryotaro messaged me and asked me if he could come, as normally he never comes to any family events. I arranged for Ayuri to be able to come as well and Daisho was free too so I went and picked them all up. During our ride over  Ryotaro seemed a little bit excited to see Sarah new house as it was to be his first time there. When we got there most of the family were just hanging out so I thought I should go home and grab the laptop so the kids could watch some new movies. By the time I had got back, the kids had made it to the pools. Here are some of the results.
It was also funny watching Knox throwing himself off the side of the pool, into the water, with no fear. (That the reason why pool fences are mandatory in NZ) I went and picked up Ash’s brother who is mates with Ryotaro and Daisho and by the time we got back it was ready to eat. We had a good catch up with everyone and talked about what the rest of the family are up to. All of the kids went outside to play and were not too interested in the movie at all. They were not too happy to be called in cause we had to go. They were in the process of arranging a game of spotlight. (Thinking back on it, I should have let them stay.... Making memories with family is what it’s all about).I was really impressed by the Roses at Sarah’s house! They are really healthy and the colours are bright and so beautiful. I youtube’d about growing a trimming from a rose and it says that you can, so I am going to give that a shot and hopefully next year I have some rose bushes I can plant. Here are some pic’s of ones that I liked. The Hulmes have always dabbled a bit in gardening, but with their new place and all of the gardens, they sort of have no choice now.
Love this colour!!

It’s good to see Bevior going to Perth to get the knee and stuff sorted and to continue perusing a life over there. I hope that the rehab goes well and that it is a good speedy recovery so that that can start building for a home and family and all that is involved with that.
So the other thing that I want to mention is that I had another chance to go for the job that I have missed out on twice before. The guy that got the job ahead of me 5 months ago has left so I am having my third shot at it. It is still a Mon-Fri job and is still with the union, but it will be more money and more of a challenge for me. It would be great to get it as Ash is about to finish up her maternity pay in a couple of months, and a boost in my pay would help us out when we go down to one income. Ash helped me to do up my power point presentation for the interview, and I was a little nervous but once I was in there I felt  like I done really well with the presentation, and answering their questions. I will find out in a couple of weeks so I hope that when I report back the news is good. I guess if worst thing happens and I miss out, it will not be a total loss as my boss is holding back on advertising the job I am doing currently (day supervisor) until we find out what is happening with this other position. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!
