Work today was great! Good to be back. Well I'm not fully back, only on half days, starting just before 9 and finishing at 1, on light duties only so admin/paper worky type stuff.
Kids stoaked to see the awesome Miss Drollet and teachers and parents alike were very pleasant too. Man I must be one popular gal... gotta blow your own trumpet every now and again right?
So got a massive heap of report writing to do. I predict I should be done by this Friday if I keep it up at this rate, then I will be back in the classroom next week and pretty care free considering a large amount of the monotonous work load will be complete and it will be smooth sailing with focusing on the fun part, the teaching!
Just putting it out there...
In need of some advice/opinions on my study options next year. I have already applied to do PostGradDip Education, a total of 2 leadership papers and 2 others that are of interest to me. This will help me with my pursuit in leadership, being a principal etc. which is somewhat in the distant future... Or I have a second option. I already have experience and qualifications in Early Childhood, love this area also and have always had dreams of having my own centre/kindy. So I could undertake GradDipTeaching Early Childhood, which means I would be able to manage my own centre. This is 9 papers, a little more than the first option, both are 1 year full time. I'm just not sure which to take... I think that having my own would also help me with some of the managerial skills and experience that I would benefit me as a leader/principal in a primary school, so that could be the go.
I called the uni for advice today, fat bunch of help that WASn't! The best advice I was given was to spend some time in an early childhood centre, uhmmm, I've already done that so totally know what they are like!
Thoughts anybody? Regardless, I think I might ask the man up stairs.

I'd send all my kids there.
You'd actually LOVE the kids and that's so lacking.
I mean Sez says the Samoan day care is her fav. as those women cuddle and love, love, love her kids and that makes her happy as a mother to know they really love her kids.

You make valid points. I'm pretty confident that it would be a hit! Checking out all the ins and outs and will get my pray on and try figure out what seems best, but the more I think about this, the more it sounds like the WINNER!
